Big Day Out

A four hour trip on public transport, dollars and an uncontrollable amount of energy were the commodities exchanged for the best day of my life... and a night i don't remember

Saturday 16th January 2010

7:30pm - arrive at Surfers for drinks and a BBQ next to the beach and rock pool 5 storeys up between the towers of chevron (thanks Natasha)

Sunday 17th January 2010

7.30am - Wake up in the unit with stamps from two clubs - Elsewhere and CD's, lipstick on my face and most of my money safe for BDO.

1.00pm - Walk through the gates of the big day out.

Rise Against - amazing.

Muse - experience I will remember for ever.

The cameras in phones can be very convenient and at other times frustrating. What might look good on a phone screen turns out rubbish at larger resolution. In saying that I thought this photo looks good at both levels...

Myself, nick and chris decided to head down to Iluka tuesday night (1.12.09)...

...the charts looked alright, but they also did on my last visit to a sloppy 1ft wave.

Turned out the conditions were great and the 4 to 5ft surf was wedging/barrelling and a couple of the better ones linking up. Couple of hours surfing, foodworks and back to the camp site... stoked... but then everything fell apart, the mazdas gearbox died. Over 12 hours later myself, Nick and Ryan were back on the sunnycoast without a car.
